A parent/guardian must complete the online QCA Knights Tryout Registration Form prior to his/her player participating in a tryout.  Players will not be able to participate unless this form is completed in advance.

If you are unable to attend the scheduled tryouts, please still complete the registration form and Contact Us to setup a private evaluation.

About the Quad City Area Knights

The Quad City Area Knights is a non-profit organization that offers competitive baseball and is dedicated to having a positive impact on the lives of young athletes in the Quad City Area by building a passion around our motto “Have Fun, Play Hard, To Win.”

What We Are Looking For

The Quad City Area Knights is currently seeking athletes that will be 7u, 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, & 14u. Players will be evaluated on key attributes (Speed, Hitting & Arm Strength, Defensive Ability, Attitude and Baseball IQ). Players will need to be of age by May 1st, 2024.

League Affiliation

The Quad City Area Knights is a registered/sanctioned USSSA baseball program. Team Schedules will consist of 40-60+ games, which will include league play (dependent upon age division), local weekend tournaments and tournaments held throughout the Midwest, requiring travel. Games/Tournaments will be a mixture of coach pitch (7U), coach/kid pitch (8U) & kid pitch (9U – 14U).

Player Fees

Player fees will be discussed at tryouts. Fees will pay for tournament/league costs and uniforms – Jerseys, Pants, Hat & Helmet. A $200.00 commitment fee per player will be due within 10 Calendar Days of being notified of selection/acceptance to the team. This fee will be put towards the total player fees but is non-refundable if the player later decides to not play for the Quad City Area Knights.

Note: Player fees are tentative and subject to change; If your son chooses to leave the Quad City Area Knights organization or is dismissed from the team due to rule violations or disciplinary reasons, these fees are non-refundable.

Playing Time

Playing time is the most common source of dissatisfaction, disagreement, and problems for any team. It MUST be clearly understood that players are not guaranteed equal playing time. Playing time will be at the sole discretion of the coach/manager. It is CRITICAL that each player/ parent understand that this is a competitive environment and each player must EARN their spot/playing time. Each player, regardless of playing time must also understand that they have an important role to the team, even when playing time is not equal.

Note: Please remember that a spot on last year’s team does not necessarily mean an automatic place on this year’s team. We expect returning players to work as hard as new players.
